Aphasia can change the way we speak, understand, read, and write. But it doesn’t change our need for peace and connection.
With Aware Through Aphasia, I made guided meditations designed for people with aphasia—simple, calming, and made with care. These meditations use slower speech, shorter sentences, and clear visuals. The goal? Make mindfulness accessible for people with speech differences.
Why This Matters
Meditation is a powerful tool. Anxiety down, mood up, helps with focus and healing. But they have fast talking and no visuals, making them hard to follow for people with aphasia.
We believe everyone deserves a quiet moment. Aware Through Aphasia makes that possible.
Our Meditations
Short, simple sentences
One idea at a time
Pauses for understanding
Natural, calm tone
You’ll notice these same strategies in our blog, too. We want this space to feel welcoming for everyone: people with aphasia, their loved ones, and anyone curious about what inclusive communication looks like in practice.
For Caregivers and Loved Ones
If you’re a caregiver, family member, or friend, these meditations are something you can listen to with your loved one. Shared calm moments can be powerful, even without many words.
